UPDATE! We're expanding the monthly contest to include ALL forms of content, including blog posts, tutorials and videos, in addition to templates.
For the last two years, we have worked to create a fun and engaging Hacktoberfest event that allows people to submit community templates across a number of categories. Things have gone well, but many people have asked if we could do something like that more often. It sounds like a great idea, so we've been thinking about making it workable.
Great news - starting this January, we're rolling out a contest for the best community template, and guess what? It's not just for a month or two – we're talking all year long! That's right, instead of waiting for Hacktoberfest, you can now take part in a community template contest every month.
