Error when using “Import from Git repository”

Issue

I am trying to import an AppSmith app from GitHub using "Import from Git repository", but I'm getting an "Internal server error while processing request". I added the SSH key to my repo's Deploy Keys, but it's not working. Can you help me?

Resolution

The user was experiencing an issue with using “Import from Git repository” in AppSmith. They were trying to import an AppSmith app from GitHub into a new app in their workspace but received an “Internal server error while processing request”. They had already added the SSH key into their repo’s Deploy Keys with write access.

After some troubleshooting, it was suggested to try importing the app into a new workspace. This solution worked and the user was able to successfully import their app.

It was also noted that if the user was on the Community edition of AppSmith, they can only have up to 3 apps connected to Git. It was suggested that this might be the reason for the error if the user had reached the limit.

No code examples were necessary for this issue.
