An error (404-page not found) appeared while trying to connect a new branch in the GitHub repository

Issue

I am experiencing an error while trying to connect a new branch in the GitHub repository within the AppSmith application. The error message is "404-page not found," and an alert shows "Resource not found." Additionally, when I tried to create a new branch directly from the AppSmith interface, it resulted in an error stating, "Unable to find the plugin. Please reach out to AppSmith customer support to resolve this." We have checked the server logs, but they did not capture the error message.

Resolution

The issue was related to an error occurring when trying to create and connect a new branch in a GitHub repository through the AppSmith interface. The error was a 404-page not found along with an alert showing “Resource not found.” It was found that the new branch was listed in the branch list, but the issue occurred while navigating from the default app to the child branched app on a resource that was not present in the child branch. The error logs showed a plugin error along with the page ID not found.

To resolve the issue, we need to reach out to Appsmith customer support as it is related to finding a plugin error. A call was scheduled to debug the issue further and find a suitable solution.
