The Low-Code Lighthouse Newsletter #2

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹,

Last month, we hosted Appsmith WORK, showcasing new platform updates and demoing how you can leverage them in your Appsmith apps. In case you didn't get to watch it live, the replay is available here.

We're also excited to announce that Appsmith workflows beta is now live. This developer-first workflow automation solution combines the simplicity of visual node-based tools with the flexibility of custom JavaScript coding for complex logic, including support for Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) processes. Try it out in our cloud sandbox or self-host a free trial. Learn more about the feature here.

Keep building amazing things! Catch you in the next update!

LLM data sources: bridging the gap between AI and your apps

Appsmith supports both public and custom LLM models, enabling secure self-hosting of AI applications. This allows seamless integration with popular LLMs and self-hosting of open-source LLMs, giving developers flexibility while maintaining data control.

We've simplified AI prototyping by enabling out-of-the-box RAG. You can quickly upload knowledge base articles to the AI data source for immediate contextual responses, reducing implementation time.

Integrated Postgres database

Deploying and managing separate databases for Appsmith instances can be time-consuming and resource-intensive. We want to simplify this process, and that is why we're replacing the default MongoDB requirement with an integrated Postgres database. This also simplifies your managed hosting options for an external database.
